Podcasts are a great way to deliver instructions to students. Podcasts can have both visual and audio components to them. Among many advantages podcast are great for both visual and auditory learners. Another advantage is students can pause and rewind podcasts. This can be helpful while taking notes or if they forget something they can go back and hear or see if again.

Podcasts are also a great tool to use that can relate to the students by using technology. Instead of using the typical methods of lecturing or putting notes on the board it is a nice change of pace to keep the students interest. In podcasts teachers can add sound clips and pictures to help demonstrate the topic they are teaching so that it is more entertaining for the students.

It is also useful to have students make their own short podcasts and present them to the class. This will allow the students to get hands on experience making the podcast and learning how to use the programs. Not only will they learn the topic they are teaching but they will become more comfortable presenting their work in front of the class. While the rest of the class will be able to learn multiple topics from their fellow classmates instead of the normal day to day routine. Podcast are a wonderful way to look at a new topic and really grasp the content of the lesson because it is presented to the students in more than one way.
